The Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of infrastructure and groundworks projects, while being supported by experienced engineers to develop your professional skills.

The Graduate Site Engineer will support the Senior Engineer with setting out duties, providing technical support to site teams, interpreting engineering drawings, and ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The role also involves maintaining accurate site records, contributing to health and safety compliance, and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Technical and Site Support

  • Assist with setting out duties under supervision.

  • Provide technical guidance to site teams where appropriate.

  • Ensure project drawings and CAD information are accurate and current.

  • Apply engineering principles to help solve technical challenges.

Quality Assurance

  • Support the preparation of as-built drawings.

  • Assist with QA documentation and compliance checks.

  • Learn and apply quality assurance processes and systems.

Survey and Equipment Management

  • Assist with dilapidation, topographical, and outfall surveys before site commencement.

  • Maintain and safeguard survey and GPS equipment.

  • Ensure calibration certificates are current and provided to the Technical Manager.

Communication and Development

  • Attend and contribute to weekly site progress meetings.

  • Liaise effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.

  • Develop skills in CAD, RFI processes, and site documentation.

What We’re Looking For
  • BEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).

  • Based in Staffordshire.

  • Strong interest in site-based engineering and infrastructure projects.

  • Willingness to learn and develop technical and professional skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Positive, proactive, and solution-focused attitude.

  • Keen to take ownership of tasks and grow within a supportive team.
