We are supporting a leading Tier 1 contractor in their search for an experiencedBuilding Services Manager to join their team in the West Midlands. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Senior Building Services Manager across a diverse project portfolio, helping to manage and lead the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) services installations across multiple schemes.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Senior Building Services Manager in the delivery of MEP services installations across the company’s project portfolio.
Manage each stage of the project delivery process to ensure all works are fully coordinated and delivered in line with the contract programme.
Work as part of a team, applying enthusiasm, self-motivation, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Manage regular progress review meetings and prepare stage reports for weekly and monthly business updates.
Manage your own time effectively, ensuring punctual and accurate project delivery.
Knowledge & Experience Required
BTEC in Building Services Engineering, Operations and Maintenance Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or a HNC / HND / Degree in Building Services Engineering.
Considerable industry experience.
Experience in design management of live schemes and pre-construction activities.
A strong team player confident in liaising with different management and client teams.
Strong IT skills.
Solid understanding of Quality, Safety, Environmental and Legislative systems and procedures.
Appreciation of phasing and construction programming.
Ability to identify risk and opportunity.
Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure to tight timescales and deadlines.
Working knowledge of Breeam, Part L, Building Regulations and relevant industry standards.
