About Andy
Andy graduated from Leeds Polytechnic in 1984 with a degree in Economics and Politics. His early career was a whirlwind of diverse roles, ranging from selling donuts on a French beach, typewriter ribbons to secretaries in California, and guiding groups of holidaymakers to Spain. These early experiences laid the foundation for his adaptability and creativity.
In the late 1980s, Andy spent five years in London, where he found himself on the frontlines of the financial world, working alongside a UK version of the "Wolf of Wall Street." While this experience was intense, it also provided him with valuable insights into the fast-paced world of business.
After transitioning to the publishing sector in Chelsea, Andy returned to the Midlands in 1992 to focus on marketing, where he began to sharpen his skills in understanding business dynamics and client needs.
In 2002, Andy joined Edge, drawn by the opportunity to help build a new business from the ground up. As Edge’s first construction consultant, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s growth and success. Over the years, he’s recruited talent up to board level, both in the UK and internationally, and has seen first-hand how the construction industry can transform lives for the better.
Having navigated a variety of sectors and challenges, Andy is one of the most experienced consultants in the construction industry today. His passion for helping others and his deep understanding of the field allow him to continue making a significant impact.
