Toby Stephens Wins November’s Fantasy Football Prize

Our own Permanent Recruitment Consultant, Toby, has become the latest monthly winner in the Edge Careers Fantasy Football competition. For finishing top of the league in November we have given Toby a £50 Amazon voucher.

Toby’s team Chamakh My Pitch Up scored a cracking 190 points to win the month by just 5 points.

The overall leader has changed once again with Andreas Zographos now leading the pack with 817 points, holding a gap of 39 points putting him in pole position to win the grand prize of a 4K TV with a surround sound system and choose a charity for Edge Careers to donate £500 to.

Oliver Smith Wins October’s Fantasy Football Prize

Our very own permanent recruitment consultant, Ollie, becomes the first Edge Careers staff member to win a prize in the history of our fantasy football competition. For finishing top of the league in October, we have given Ollie an Amazon voucher worth £50.

Ollie’s team, 2 Goals 1 Cup, scored a respectable 184 points, but still only won the month by 2 points.

We have also had a change at the top of the table, with Kamran Rashid now becoming the overall leader with a score of 590 points, putting him in pole position to win the grand prize of a 4K TV with a surround sound system and choose a charity for Edge Careers to donate £500 to.

THE WINNER IS RICHARD MILLWARD

 

Richard Millward - With Certificate

The final whistle has gone on Edge Careers’ Fantasy Football League and we are delighted to say. Richard Millward has finished top of the pile, meaning he has won the amazing prize of a four day trip to New York.

In a season where there has been huge surprises, namely Leicester being crowned Premier League champions, Richard managed to be the ‘Claudio Ranieri’ of the league and pick the team that has led him to victory.

It has been no easy ride though, as even with just one game to go, the gap between Richard Millward in 1st and Andy Weir in 2nd was only 2 points, creating a nervous Tuesday night for Richard. With only 3 minutes of added time to play, Andy Weir looked certain to be our winner, but then in the 92nd minute, with the last kick of the game, Chris Smalling scored an own goal allowing Richard to be crowned our winner.

Richard Millward’s team, Just Obita Fun, scored a brilliant 2,318 points to win the Edge Careers Fantasy Football League by just 2 points, ranking 1,559 out of 3,734,001 in the world.

After a roller coaster of a month where we have witnessed the highs and lows of point scoring, Rob’s team, ElJogoBonito2016, scored an impressive 269 points, making him the February prize winner.

There are only 8 games left and what a season it has been so far, just like the Premier League itself, it is still all to play for in the Edge Careers Fantasy Football League.

With the amazing prize of a trip to New York still up for grabs, every week we are seeing changes all across the table, including first place where currently Andy Weir’s, Weirs Beards, and Richard Millward’s, Just Obita Fun, are tied with an overall score of 1,732 points. December has been an exciting month in the Edge Careers Fantasy Football league. The packed football calendar has meant that for the first time this season, we have two winners. These are Jamie Titshall who won an Android Tablet and Bob Davis, Planning Manager at Carillon, the second of the two December winners, has received a £70 Marks and Spencer’s gift voucher as his prize. We hope you enjoy spending your voucher, Bob.

Bob Davis’ team, Bob’s Baggies, achieved an impressive 362 points in December making him the joint top scorer with Jamie Titshall’s team, Multiple Scoregasms for the month.

As the busy period is well and truly upon us, the competition at the top of the table is getting tight, with Andy Weir’s team, Weirs Beard’s currently leading the league. But as the football calendar continues through its challenging winter period, the unpredictability of players is taking effect and teams scores are fluctuating.

The league is wide open for anyone to move up the board. Will the leader slide under pressure, or will they be shooting off to New York?

The packed schedule has meant that for the first time this season we have two winners. Jamie Titshall, a Trainee Chartered Accountant for UHY Hacker Young, the first of the two December winners has received a shinny new tablet as his prize.
