The Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on budget and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Management: Oversee all cost-related elements of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

  • Procurement: Lead the procurement of materials, subcontractors, and other essential resources.

  • Contractual and Commercial Advice: Provide expert advice on contractual issues, including variations, claims, and dispute resolution.

  • Client Liaison: Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring their needs are clearly understood and met.

  • Risk Management: Identify and proactively mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Reporting: Prepare regular cost reports and essential documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors, encouraging their professional development.

  • Project Delivery: Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

  • Value Engineering: Identify and implement opportunities to optimize costs while enhancing overall project value.
