About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager / Senior Contract Manager to lead and oversee residential groundworks and infrastructure civils projects across the Northern Home Counties. This is a hands-on role requiring expertise in delivering construction contracts safely, on time, and within budget, while managing teams and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Take full ownership of contract delivery for groundworks and infrastructure civils projects.
Manage project teams, including subcontractors and internal staff, ensuring high performance and accountability.
Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion.
Control project budgets, monitor costs, and implement corrective actions to maintain financial performance.
Ensure all works are executed in line with health & safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Act as the main point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
Provide regular project reports, updates, and risk assessments to senior management.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, sharing best practice across projects.
Requirements:
Proven experience in Groundworks / Civils construction, particularly within residential developments.
Strong understanding of the fast-paced construction environment and ability to work under pressure.
Track record of successfully managing multiple contracts and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Strong knowledge of contract management, procurement, and compliance processes.
Ability to travel within the operational patch (Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire).
