Role Purpose
We are recruiting three Health & Safety Advisors to support the regional HSE function in reducing risk, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational requirements, and promoting occupational health, safety, and environmental policies across operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Promote organisational values and foster a just culture
Support implementation of HSE policies, standards, and management systems
Ensure legislative compliance and clarify stakeholder responsibilities
Provide guidance on CDM 2015 and support site documentation (TM plan, CPP, RAMS)
Conduct inspections, monitor sub-contractors, and ensure actions are closed out
Provide operational teams with best practice advice, training, and toolbox talks
Complete accident/incident investigations and new starter inductions
Report serious breaches of policy or legislation to senior stakeholders
Participate in cross-region HSE initiatives and client meetings
Key Results
Effective risk reduction and operational management
Compliance with legislative and company HSE requirements
Consistent implementation of risk controls and HSE best practices
Person Specification
Qualifications
NEBOSH General or Construction (preferred)
IOSH Membership, CSCS, and full UK driving licence
Desirable: Environmental/Sustainability Certificates, Street Works, AP (Lifting), Temporary Works
Experience
Construction industry experience, ideally housing groundworks/civil
Housing sector experience desirable
Skills & Knowledge
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Power BI
Able to analyse complex information and provide practical HSE solutions
Knowledge of H&S culture, human factors, and investigations (desirable)
