Systems Manager – Warwickshire

My client is a family run, privately owned Contractor with a number of offices across the UK and have been in existence for over 100 years. The Business as a group, are currently enjoying a turnover of nearly £200m. The business has progressed quickly over the years and now have a strong reputation across the UK as one of the most successful regional contractors. As a business whole, they are looking to up skill staff and have done so in the last 18 months. This is to combat their new business model of targeting larger projects in excess of £10m.

*** Systems Manager ***

Overview of the role:

    * The Systems Manager shall be responsible for developing, maintaining and enhances work class processes that control risk, add value but allow judgement and freedom of movement to staff as appropriate.
    * The Systems Manager will report directly into the Managing Director of Construction but be accountable to the Board and the Regional Directors for the performance of systems in the business.
    * The Systems Manager will have spent most of their time on site sharing best practice, supporting and developing delivery teams and improving operational performance.
    * The Systems Manager should previously have been part of the operational delivery of construction teams to ensure complete credibility on site, working with Project Teams to enhance and improve best practice.
    * A Systems Manager should have excellent Health & Safety experience. They must have the highest of standards and should have a culture of enhancing and developing construction performance. They must have a relentless pursuit of excellence.

Person Specification

    * Strong Health & Safety background / understanding
    * Main Contracting background
    * They will ideally have (or be working to) NEBOSH, IEMA and have a proven track record of Auditing and system improvements.
    * Willing to travel to different sites / projects
