I am currently working with a tier one property and housing company which covers across the UK. This role however, is based in Stevenage. I’m am looking to recruit an IT Project manager to join a project services team within an IT department, based within the Central Services team in Stevenage. The right IT project Manager will enjoy working in a fun lively environment with a fantastic IT team. You will make sure the property and housing IT project team are operating in line with business needs and in accordance with agreed project teams and in accordance with agreed project targets. You will be delivering technology projects based around business transformation which includes Office 365 and bespoke applications.

This role within the Property and housing sector is very varied and fast paced so the ideal IT Project manager will be adaptable and able to manage an ever-changing shift in priorities.

You will need to know “what good looks like” as you will be responsible for the management and delivery of technology projects. You will also be involved with managing technology, application and end user services at an exciting time of change. A successful IT project manager with need to ensure all projects are within budget, delivered on time and to agreed quality standards. The role will also be accountable for maintaining practical processes using best practice methodologies and systems across all technology functions.

What we need from you:

    * Project management, reporting and control.
    * Understanding and interpreting technical and project specifications and plans.
    * Working in a Prince and Agile environment.
    * Office programmes including Visio, PowerPoint and Project.
    * A good working knowledge of software development lifecycle.
    * Setting and achieving project targets.
    * Stakeholder management, Internal and external.
    * Working within a matrix management structure.
    * Have a good range of knowledge of IT.
    * Ability to work within a team. And also building strong internal and external relationships.
    * Liaising with staff in a non-technical manner.
    * ITIL Foundation.
    * Organise and manage own work load to meet all managers expectations and project timescales.
    * Ensure that all project risks and issues are identified and pro-actively managed though closure or implementing.
    * Collaborate with other teams in identifying areas for improvement and maintain a good knowledge of emerging best practices in the field of project management.
    * To ensure all product documentation is produced to a high standard.
    * All management, project portfolio reports and resource plans are updated on a regular basis.
    * Drive industry standard common practices, including methodologies such as ITIL, MSP and PRINCE2.

Essential:

    * Degree in computing or related discipline or equivalent experience.
    * Prince 2

This is a permanent IT Project Manager position within the Property and Housing based in Stevenage with a permanent salary offering of £40,000 to £60,000 dependant upon experience and qualifications
