Principal Structural Engineer – Leeds – Rolling 3 Months – Freelance – Market Rates – Immediate Start
My client is an established national main contractor who predominantly work within the Education, Residential, Health, Industrial and Retail sectors. They execute a variety of projects including: New Build, New Build Extension and Refurbishment.
They currently enjoy a turnover of c£200 million and manage projects ranging in value from £500,000 up to £50 million with a select client base secured on a competitive and negotiated basis.
Reporting to the Project Lead, you will be involved in a range of tasks including;

* Providing structural technical support within a team of structural engineers
* Be responsible for the technical accuracy of the project delivery
* Visiting sites and attending site meetings
* Preparation of reports
* Undertake design reviews
* Develop Structural Designs using design/analysis software
* Oversea junior staff and develop their skill set.
What skills and experience do you need?

* Hons degree or above in civil or structural engineering
* Relevant project and design experience
* Good interpersonal skills to work individually and in teams
* Written and verbal presentation skills necessary
* Have a detailed knowledge of Eurocodes and structural design software such as Tekla, ETABs and TEDDS
